The British Council requests proposals from event managers or companies for the Youth and Climate Symposium in June 2024. The Youth and Climate Symposium aims to mobilise youth in combating climate change, particularly in Nepal. It gathers stakeholders, thought leaders and young innovators to explore creativity, entrepreneurship, and environmental sustainability. Part of the culture response global initiative, it encourages under-represented groups to engage in cultural life, promoting diversity and supporting arts and culture sectors in addressing climate challenges.
The British Council Nepal integrates arts and education to address climate change. Initiatives like Crafting Futures and Creative Green Economy promote sustainable practices in Nepal's craft sector and eco-friendly methods in creative industries. The Youth Climate Action project empowers Nepalese youth through workshops and educational resources, fostering environmental advocacy. Climate change education embeds climate education in Nepal's education system, nurturing environmental stewardship among youth.
